Painting
I have decided to try a "do it yourself" painting technique. I have seen several posts on The British Car Forum and a site called Rolled On where people have used Rustoleum Pro or Brightside paint, rolled on ,and sanded out. Many have turned out great!
I am headed out today to pick up a quart of Rustoleum Pro primer (white) and a quart of Rustoleum Pro oil based enamel paint (white) and several grades of sandpaper and a flexible sanding block. I alredy have a grinder, some chemical stripper, and various pads for the grinder.
Thanks to my Dad I have spare front fender that I plan to practice on before hitting the car. I also need some time to take "before" pics of the car and some of the rust spots etc.

Well, the baby boy , Connor, arrived April 13th weighing an impressive 9lbs 9oz and 21 inches long! Big sister, Sydney, loves him to death!
Recently I installed the Nardi steering wheel. I still have not worked out the details on the horn button. You would think the wirng would be simple, and maybe it is, but not for me.
I have also installed the center console and started work on the British Leyland radio install. I actually had it in place before finding out the left channel wasn't working. I have it torn down and am poking around on it now.
Still no progress on painting. Still very little "free" time to jump into something that involved. At least I can drive the car the way it is.

Not much news of late. With a baby coming any day I haven't gotten much time in the garage. I have been on a few drives and everything is running strong.
I have been buying up odds and ends for the car. In addition to the Motolita steering wheel I now have a soft top boot cover, a center console that is in great shape, a front spoiler, and most everything I need to strip and paint the car. All I need now is time.
